The Old Hill cidery is a recent addition to Showalter’s Orchard
in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, where Shannon and Sarah’s
family has been growing apples on their Old Hill for more than
40 years.

We are located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. Family Owned and Operated, We've been in business since 1965. Our Orchard is located on approximately 40 acres with breath taking views of the Valley.
We grow over 20 varieties of Apples and we process Our Famous Apple Cider on the premises and is available for sale in our Country Market. Generally, apple season begins in early August and runs thru the end of November. After a brief rest, Greenhouse Season gets underway in early April. We feature plants that are grown in our 38,000 sq. ft. Facility. From Vegetables, Bedding Plants, Patio Planters to Perennials, we take pride in the care our plant material receives. In the spring, we offer numerous seminars featuring our highly popular Make it, Take it Container Class. Whenever you chose to visit, be sure to bring your camera so you will be able to capture the beautiful sights of the season!!!

We have a wide variety of tried and true annuals and perennials including unusual and brand new varieties. Our perennials are hardy for our geographical zone. We also offer plants for your vegetable garden. Start your garden off right with our hardy vegetable plants including: tomatoes, peppers, lettuces, watermelon, squash, eggplant, cucumbers, cantaloupes, herbs and more. And don't forget our Mums, Pumpkins, Pansies and Gourds for Fall.
Classes and Gardening Expertise
Our staff is eager to help all gardeners from novice to experienced. We also offer classes including container gardening classes each Spring. Have access to plant material and make the mess at our place as you learn how to plant your own container garden, patio planter, hanging baskets and more...
